Itinerary:

August 27th Arrival in Cusco…welcome to the land of the Incas!!!

Reception at the airport followed by transfer to your selected hotel in Cusco. free time to relax  and acclimate in the high altitude of Cusco  (3400 masl) we higly recommend to just take it easy this afternoon in order to acclimate and enjoy the following days and tours.  Later you have meeting with a guide for last coordinations and  detailed information about the following days!

August 28th Sacsayhuaman arquelogical park – Pisac Ruins and Market.

ITINERARY: On this one day tour we will visit a number of traditional towns and  in this fertile valley. The valley was known as the sacred valley because it provided the food for the Incas in Cusco and Machu Picchu. We will pick you up from your hotel at 8.00am and visit the following places;

SACSAYHUAMAN Is a masterpiece of engineering and the site of the first rebellion against the Spanish. QENQO Located near Sacsayhuaman, is thought to have been a ceremonial center of great importance in Inca religion and had a very important role at that time. PUCA PUCARA This tambo is built in a more rustic style and would have been used to rest by “chasquis” the famous Inca runners. TAMBOMACHAY Located 8 km from the city of the Cusco, this temple of the water demonstrates a high quality of Inca stonework then we drive. LUNCH: we take lunch at one of restaurants in the Pisac (not included ) PISAQ: We visit the Inca remains perched above the town walking one and a half hours before descending in the bus and exploring the town’s famous market.
We will arrive back in Cusco at about 6.30pm.

August 29th Chinchero, Maras Moray – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

On this one day tour we will visit a number of traditional towns and  in this fertile valley. The valley was known as the sacred valley because it provided the food for the Incas in Cusco and Machu Picchu. Lying at an altitude of between 2700m and 2900m then you will take the train in the afternoon to Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu town). this itinerary provides an ideal way to visit Machupicchu the next day and have more time to visit this beautiful place also will allow you to sleep more and have a good rest before starting off on the Machupicchu tour.

ITINERARY: We will pick you up from your hotel at 8.00am and drive for 1 hour to CHINCHEROS: We stop to explore the colonial church and visit the Inca palace of Tupac Yupanqui. We have a last chance to buy handicrafts in the market with its beautiful views of the Vilcanota Mountains, MORAY:  We then drive another 15 minutes to this unique site. Natural depressions have been terraced by the Incas and used to make a kind of experimental greenhouse. The temperature gradient thus created was used to ascertain what type of crops could grow in different locations. MARAS: Located to the west of the Cusco this town has many beautiful examples of colonial architecture hidden in its quiet streets. SALINERAS: or “salt mines” The natural salt in the rocks is filtered out by the use of small salt pans and allowed to dry. Return to the city of Cusco. We will also have spectacular views across to the Vilcanota range of mountains.. LUNCH: we take lunch at one of our favourite restaurants in the Sacred Valley (not included )   OLLANTAYTAMBO: We visit this traditional town known as “the living Inca city”.  People live today in the houses and narrow streets built by the Incas with many still taking their water from the water channels that run through the town. We will take a guided tour of the Inca fortress which dominates the town, keeping watch over the sacred valley and hear about one of the greatest love stories of Inca times which took place here then we take train to Aguas Calientes where We spend the night in your a selected hotel.

August 30th Machupicchu with it’s Glory!!

Early breakfast and we are taking the bus for 30 minutes to Machupicchu. Guided tour in this marvelous place, visit of the most relevant temples and areas scorted by your experienced guide, then extra free time to explore by your own. Afternoon after lunch we take train to return to Ollantaytambo and a private transport to Cusco, transfer to your Hotel.

August 31st fly to Lima : Cusco walking city tour –  airport bye bye…Cusco!

 

CITY TOUR

Cusco, the archaeological capital of America was the main city of the Inca empire and considered by them as the «navel of the world». Today is the first of the resorts in South America and was proclaimed as a cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO. Cusco is located at 3350 meters of height. This is a guided tour of the most important tourist attractions of the city where we will observe Inca remains as well as colonial.

QORICANCHA This is the site of the Inca temples of the sun, moon and lightning which was discovered under the Santo Domingo Church in the earthquake of 1952. THE CATHEDRAL It was built in the XVI century has a baroque style, with a beautiful altar and a lot of wonderful paintings. San Pedro the main market of Cusco city (optional) then later transfer out from your selected hotel to the airport in Cusco two hours before for your domestic flight End of our service!.
